Introduction:
The MULTISPOT MI-100 Control is one of the most advance spot welding systems of its kind. It has many advanced features that place it at the top of the current crop of intelligent computer controlled spot welders.
Some of its advanced features include:
* Recognition and compensation of disturbing factors: e.g primer, glue, antirust lacquer.
* Can store manufacturers welding programmes which can be recalled.
* Optional extra - Allows for updates for new vehicles via Compact Flash Card
* Own welding programmes may be issued and stored separately.
* Allows quality checking by logging of all important welding data, if desired together with order data
* Computer control of welding means constant results of the quality requested by the car
manufacturer. This was a specific requirement by BMW.
* Equipped for all welding duties at the body - now and in the future.
* Quick fixing of the requested spot welding pliers or spot welding gun by means of central
connection.
The Elektron MI-100 Control constantly monitors the resistance of each weld and does not deviate from the predetermined values during the full work cycle. This allows the Elektron system to be more accurate while keeping the machine at cooler operating temperatures.
Another advantage of the Elektron system is that while most manufacturers have specified a minimum of 9000 Amp operating requirement for these welders, only the Elektron has the ability to operate at 12000 Amps for future compliance. The advanced design of all Elektron spot welding machines also means that when future requirements are set by the manufacturers the Spot Welders can be upgraded by simply replacing the pliers with new specification ones. This allows for a longer service life and a better return on investment.
